Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Backial.

Your 60-minute Backial begins with a skin analysis and deep cleansing, followed by a relaxing massage, customized exfoliation, extractions if needed, a targeted mask, and finishing moisturizer. All products and techniques are selected for your skin type and concern.

Yes. The Backial can be safely adapted for acne-prone or sensitive backs using gentle cleansers, mild exfoliants, and anti-inflammatory masks. We perform a skin assessment and patch testing, and avoid aggressive techniques when necessary to protect delicate or reactive skin.

For most clients we recommend a Backial every four to six weeks to maintain clear, balanced skin and prevent congestion. Those with active breakouts may benefit from more frequent visits initially; your esthetician will create a personalized schedule.

Extractions performed during a Backial are done professionally to minimize trauma and reduce scarring risk. Proper technique, clean tools, and aftercare help prevent irritation. Slight redness or tenderness may occur but typically resolves within a few days with recommended home care.

Avoid heavy sun exposure, recent chemical peels, or strong at-home exfoliants for several days before your Backial. Wear loose clothing to your appointment and disclose medications or skin conditions. This helps ensure comfort and allows treatments to be safely customized.

Contraindications include open wounds, active infections, severe sunburn, recent ablative procedures, or use of isotretinoin without medical clearance. Certain chronic skin conditions may require physician approval. Always consult with our esthetician before booking to confirm treatment safety.
